December 7, 2017

Welcome To Brian Christison, Recently Elected Town Commissioner: We would like to congratulate Mr. Brian Christison on being elected to the position of Town Commissioner, as a result of the Town Election, held on November 7, 2017. Commissioner Christison will replace Commissioner Ron Lane, who chose not to run for re-election. I am sure that I speak for the entire Town Board, by stating that we look forward to working along side Commissioner Christison in the years to come!!

Congratulations To Commissioner David Cooper: We would also like to congratulate Mr. David Cooper for another successful election victory to the Town Board. Mr. Cooper has been a longtime member of the Town Board. He is not only the Commissioner in charge of Water and Waster Water Treatment, but he is also the Mayor Pro Tem. It is believed that Commissioner Cooper has served on the Town Board for 12 years and will now commence his fifth, four-year term of office.

Commissioner Ron Lane – Thank You For Your Unselfish and Dedicated Commitment To Woodland: Town Board wishes to thank Commissioner Ron Lane, for his dedicated service during his four-year term as Town Commissioner in charge of Finance and Administration. Commissioner Lane's term of office ends on December 7, 2017. He proved himself to be an invaluable asset to the Board, with his knowledge and skills of budget, finance and administration. Additionally, he was also the brains and mastermind behind the creation and establishment of the Brick Memorial Park, next to Town Hall. Commissioner Lane, you will be so truly missed. We wish you the Very Best!!

Kim Bryant, Thank You For Your Service As Town Clerk: It is with great sadness that we must inform you that our illustrious Town Clerk, Kim Bryant, has submitted her resignation to the Town Board, effective November 30, 2017. Kim has served as the Town Clerk for over seven years and has done an excellent job; not only in fulfilling her duties as the Town Clerk, but also as the Financial Officer of the Town of Woodland.
Personally, I don't think we can replace her, because of all of the wonderful attributes and skills that she brought to her position and the way she approached her job and her infectious smile. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kim, for the hard work that she performed, during her tenure here in Woodland.
The Town Board would like to wish Kim the very best in all that the future may hold for her. She is to be commended for a Job Well Done. The Town of Woodland has been quite fortunate to have her serve us for these many years.

Jean Bryant, Thank You For Your Service As Assistant Town Clerk: It is with great sadness that we must also inform you that our wonderful Assistant Town Clerk, Jean Bryant, has submitted her resignation to the Town Board, effective November 30, 2017. Jean has been employed by Woodland for over 9 years and brought a wealth of experience to the position, after retiring from the Northampton County Tax Department.
Jean has worked very hard for the Town of Woodland and proved to be a tremendous asset in addressing the many, intricate, financial record keeping issues of this town. She will be terribly missed in her position and we wish her the very best that the future has to offer to her.

Welcome To Kevin Byrum, New Police Officer/Public Works Employee: We would like to welcome Mr. Kevin Byrum to the Woodland Staff. Kevin is a former Northampton County Sheriff Deputy and resides in the Conway area. Kevin will be scheduled to work with the Public Works Crew in the early part of the day, then take a several hour break, before returning to work the evening shift as a police officer, to cover the town during the evening to early morning hours.

Lastly, I would like to wish all of our Town's Employees, our Town Board Members and the citizens of the Woodland Community a very Merry Christmas Season and a Wonderful and Safe New Year.
We have faced some very challenging times, have had to make some tough decisions and have also had our share of some amazing accomplishments in the Town of Woodland over the last year. I am so excited about what the New Year has to offer to our community!!!
It is my prayer that the Lord will continue to Bless each and every one of you, this day and always!!!!
