Public Hearing for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year Budget

Chief Eddie Hoggard was absent.

Call to Order: At 6:30 p.m., Mayor Beale called the public hearing to order.

Approval of Agenda: Commissioner Cooper made a motion to approve the agenda as written. Commissioner Morris seconded and the motion carried.

Discussion of Budget and Budget Ordinance: The board was previously given the recommended budget for the upcoming 2022-2023 fiscal year to review. Commissioner Cooper said the town is in great shape with a wonderful group of commissioners. He thanked Mrs. McDermott and Commissioner Christison for putting the work in to prepare the budget.

Commissioner Christison told the board that the ARPA money can be used for salary, therefore we are going to put $20,000 in both the 10 and 30 funds for fiscal year 2022-2023 salaries.

Public Comments: No public comments

Board Comments: Commissioner Christison said we are in a good place for next year.

Adjourn: As there was no further discussion, Commissioner Christison made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:38 p.m. Commissioner Outland seconded and the motion carried.
