Special Called Meeting to Approve Public Hearing Minutes

Call to Order: Mayor Beale called the meeting to order at 6:20 p.m.

Approval or Amendment of Agenda: Commissioner Cooper made a motion to approve the agenda. Commissioner Christison seconded and the motion carried.

Approval or Amendment of the Minutes: The board suggested amending the minutes to include the fact that no citizens were present at the meeting, and to add that the town will retain all material, including pumps and the generator from lift station 1. Commissioner Cooper made a motion to approve the public hearing minutes dated March 11, 2021 with the amendments. Commissioner Morris seconded and the motion carried.

Fair Housing Plan: The board reviewed the Fair Housing Plan and discussed the process of what action must be taken when complaints of housing discrimination come in. A fair housing plan must be in place for the town to be compliant with our CDBG-1 grant. Commissioner Morris made a motion to approve the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Plan, the Equal Housing Opportunity Resolution, and the Fair Housing Complaint Procedure. Commissioner Outland seconded and the motion carried.

Adjourn: At 6:38 p.m., Commissioner Cooper made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Christison seconded and the motion carried.
